Stage 2 remapping
Stage 2 remapping
for modified cars.
Vehicle-specific calibration matched to an agreed modified hardware setup. A considered next step for a properly planned project.

What is Stage 2 remapping?
Stage 2 is a commonly used tuning label, rather than a single universal technical specification. Here it means ECU calibration matched to an agreed modified hardware setup. The actual specification is documented for the individual vehicle; the stage name alone is not enough to define the job.
Who might it suit?
Owners with a planned or existing hardware project who need software suited to that configuration. Cooling, intake, exhaust and drivetrain requirements vary between platforms. We confirm what is relevant before agreeing the software work.
What could change?
The aim is coherent power delivery and a calibration that takes account of the fitted components and your priorities. Performance depends on the engine, parts, fuel, supporting systems and condition. We do not attach a blanket horsepower promise to Stage 2.
Confirm the complete setup
Tell us the exact component specifications, current software and any known faults. More demanding operation can expose weak components. Hardware capability, clutch or transmission condition and the intended use all matter; a parts list alone cannot establish mechanical health.
Arrange hardware work separately
Midlands Tuning does not supply mechanical installation or remove components. Work may need to happen before or after the software change depending on the agreed procedure. Confirm the sequence before booking a third-party installer. Stage 2 does not automatically require or include emissions deactivation.
Price and information for a quote
Stage 2 calibration starts from £250. This is a starting price for an agreed scope, not an inclusive price for every modification or emissions service. Send full vehicle details, the current and planned hardware specification, gearbox, intended use and your goal.
Before proceeding, discuss the modification with your insurer and check your manufacturer’s warranty terms. Remapping is not universally risk-free or warranty-safe.
