DTC code management
DTC code
management.
Targeted diagnostic trouble code software assessment with a clearly defined purpose, scope and limitations.

What is DTC code management?
A diagnostic trouble code (DTC) records that a control system has detected a particular condition. Sometimes described as DTC delete, this service considers a targeted software change after the diagnostic context and proposed purpose have been reviewed. It is not blanket fault-code removal.
Who might it suit?
Customers with a documented software configuration issue or an agreed specialist ECU requirement. Supply the exact code, the reporting module, symptoms, diagnostic findings and details of previous changes. A fault code alone rarely gives the complete diagnosis.
What could change?
A specifically agreed diagnostic reporting behaviour may change where appropriate and supported. Suppressing a code does not correct wiring, fix a component or establish that the vehicle is safe or healthy. We do not promote concealing safety faults or disabling safety systems.
Assessment and limitations
The cause of the code and its relationship to other systems must be understood. Requests intended to conceal road-use emissions faults are not treated as an ordinary diagnostic software service. Emissions-related configuration changes are assessed under the separate restricted-use service and its eligibility requirements.
Hardware work and cost
Mechanical and electrical repairs are not included. Arrange necessary diagnostic or repair work separately and confirm the order of work with the software configuration. Price is by quotation after reviewing the requested scope.
What to send
Include vehicle and ECU identification if available, all relevant fault codes and diagnostic reports, symptoms, modifications, intended use and the reason a software change is requested. Do not send only a screenshot showing a code without the surrounding context.
Before proceeding, discuss the modification with your insurer and check your manufacturer’s warranty terms. Remapping is not universally risk-free or warranty-safe.
