What does the service involve?
Assessment of ECU software changes relating to specified emissions-control functions on an eligible vehicle. Terms such as DPF delete, EGR delete and AdBlue delete describe different changes; none means that software physically removes, repairs or replaces a component. These are restricted-use services, separate from ordinary road-going performance or economy remapping.
DPF software deactivation
A diesel particulate filter (DPF) captures exhaust particulates. ECU functions can include monitoring and regeneration control. An eligible off-road DPF software enquiry must describe the existing filter configuration, sensors, current faults and planned hardware work. Software cannot clear a physically blocked filter or repair damaged exhaust hardware. The full configuration and any mechanical work need separate assessment.
EGR software deactivation
Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) returns a controlled amount of exhaust gas to the intake as part of emissions control. An EGR software enquiry must identify the engine, ECU, valve and cooler arrangement, symptoms and intended configuration. Software changes do not replace a leaking cooler or repair a seized valve. Required mechanical work is outside our service.
AdBlue / SCR software deactivation
Selective catalytic reduction (SCR) uses a urea solution, commonly called AdBlue, in a system designed to reduce nitrogen oxides. Its monitoring can interact with other control units and operating strategies. Compatibility must be assessed individually. Software cannot repair a damaged tank, pump, dosing injector, sensor or catalyst. Describe the vehicle, warnings, existing faults and complete intended setup.
Eligibility and hardware sequence
An off-road description or a checked box does not establish that a proposed use is lawful. We need to understand where and how the vehicle will be used, whether any public-road use is intended, and the agreed hardware configuration. Hardware changes are arranged separately and their sequence must be confirmed before work. A vehicle that no longer complies with applicable emissions requirements must not be used on public roads.
Packages and quotation
Eligible full emissions software packages start from £250. The final quote specifies the supported functions and inclusions. It does not automatically include Stage 2 or every emissions change on every vehicle. Send complete vehicle details, ECU information if available, intended use, existing faults and the requested DPF, EGR and/or SCR scope.
